Can you say "super beautiful family?"  This extra fun, musical family came complete with boas, leather pants and musical instruments!! We just got out the dress-ups and let them play.  I love capturing children relaxed and having fun.  For more shots, check out my Milestone Fan page on Facebook.

Spring Gallery Walk

It's time once again for the Downtown Gallery Walk.  Various artists will display their work throughout the downtown area this Friday from 6-9 pm.  Our charming little studio, located at 106 N. Church Street, between Ibis and The Tabernacle, will once again be participating.  We have 14 photographers of all abilities showcasing their work.  We're adding a twist this time with a competition.  Stop by, vote on your favorite image, rub shoulders with some fun people, and grab a map of the other local businesses featuring artists.  If you're a client, you may even see a shot of yourself on the wall!!

The cobbler's children....

You all know the saying about the cobbler's children having no shoes, well these photos were supposed to be for Christmas last year.  I had good intentions, I even got them edited in time for Christmas, but that was the end of that.  With the studio opening and working on client photos, they got put on the backburner. 

The release of the new Barenaked Ladies album earlier this week made me feel warm and fuzzy inside...just like at Christmastime.  It motivated me to get them finished, posted, and possibly even sent out to family!!

We shot these back in October at a location I'm in love with.  It offered great views of the gorgeous valley we live in.  I found this location when I took a wrong turn on a bike ride.  Getting lost really paid off.

Books, books, books!!!

If you live in Cache Valley, you just have to take a trip down to Jenson Books!! What a super fun, super cool family.  We did a few routine shots, then broke out a box of books from the store to see what we could do.  I've never had so much fun with books!!! ( I can't remember the last one I read that was for me, and not related to photography).  It gave me a chance to work on my new studio lighting patterns while having the time of my life.

For my followers, you may have noticed a change in my blog appearance.  I've decided that it's time to revamp the look of my site.  I'm hoping to add some more changes later, but this was a good start.  I'll also be adding new promotions in the next few months as I expand my marketing.  I have a vision for my photgraphy and am so excited to see it taking the direction I've had in my head. As I've monitored the industry trends, I've been wanting to incorporate some fresh, new styles into the studio.  I've found some amazing furniture and backdrops and can't wait to go shopping for more!! 

Note to self:

The next time you decided to sit outside up at The Sinks, remember hot cocoa, snowshoes, a padded cushion to sit on , and sunglasses!!!

This event was soooo fun!  I loved the energy the dogs brought with them.  My friend and I had a blast watching these beautiful animals exert all of their energy as they raced by.  I'll definately be going up again next year!

This is the largest group I've done in my studio, but when the weather is bad, it's great to have a place to go!  The shoot went really well, and the kids were great!  My favorite was the darling little princess.  How can you go wrong with Sleeping Beauty in the room?
